Segundo o levantamento, 37,6% dos jovens entrevistados se declararam evang\u00e9licos, 6,7% de outras religi\u00f5es e 11,5% afirmaram n\u00e3o possuir religi\u00e3o.<\/p>\n<p>Os n\u00fameros mostram o crescimento dos evang\u00e9licos em compara\u00e7\u00e3o ao Censo 2010 do Instituto Brasileiro de Geografia e Estat\u00edstica (IBGE), que apontava um percentual de 63% de cat\u00f3licos entre os jovens com idades entre 15 e 24 anos. Segundo a pesquisa, os cat\u00f3licos representam hoje 44,2% nesta faixa de idade.<\/p>\n<p>Dos 190,7 milh\u00f5es brasileiros, 34,1 milh\u00f5es s\u00e3o jovens entre 15 e 24 anos. O pa\u00eds tem 123,3 milh\u00f5es de cat\u00f3licos, sendo 21,8 milh\u00f5es jovens. Segundo o IBGE, o percentual de cat\u00f3licos no pa\u00eds recuou de 73,6% em 2000 para 64,6% em 2010.<\/p>\n<p>A pesquisa tamb\u00e9m aponta que o crescimento dos evang\u00e9licos est\u00e1 relacionado, principalmente, devido \u00e0 entrada nas classes C e D, que possuem o maior n\u00famero de jovens. Segundo o presidente do Data Popular, Renato Meirelles, as novas formas de tecnologia utilizadas pelos evang\u00e9licos \u00e9 um exemplo da vantagem que possuem em rela\u00e7\u00e3o aos cat\u00f3licos.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHoje voc\u00ea v\u00ea funk gospel, samba gospel \u2013 modelos que s\u00f3 mais recentemente come\u00e7amos ver na Igreja Cat\u00f3lica\u201d, avalia.<\/p>\n<p>Meirelles tamb\u00e9m destacou o crescimento acentuado dos evang\u00e9licos, apontado j\u00e1 no Censo de 2010. Segundo ele, os n\u00fameros do Data Popular confirmam a queda cat\u00f3lica tamb\u00e9m entre os jovens.<\/p>\n<h2>Frequ\u00eancia na igreja<\/h2>\n<p>Os evang\u00e9licos s\u00e3o proporcionalmente os mais ass\u00edduos \u00e0 igreja, segundo a pesquisa. Entre os brasileiros com 18 anos ou mais, 52% responderam ter ido mais de quatro vezes no m\u00eas \u00e0 igreja, 34% de uma a quatro vezes e 14% nenhuma.
