\"PastoresTr\u00eas pastores crist\u00e3os foram soltos em Laos depois de passarem mais de dois meses presos sob a acusa\u00e7\u00e3o de estarem usando um DVD para converter pessoas.<\/p>\n

Em 5 de fevereiro um policial apreendeu tr\u00eas c\u00f3pias do DVD \u201cFim dos Tempos\u201d em uma loja no mercado do distrito de Phin, na prov\u00edncia de Savannakhet, e resolveu prender os tr\u00eas pastores e tamb\u00e9m o dono da loja que foi liberado em seguida.<\/p>\n

A defesa alega que cada c\u00f3pia do DVD pertencia a um dos pastores, mas a pol\u00edcia n\u00e3o acreditou. Os pastores Bounma, Somkaew e Bounmee ficaram presos e h\u00e1 relatos de maus-tratos. Bounma, por exemplo, foi chutado e espancado pelo policial que o prendeu.<\/p>\n

A Christian Solidarity Worlwide (CSW) acompanhou o caso e confirmou que de fato eles foram soltos. O diretor da organiza\u00e7\u00e3o, Andrew Johnston celebrou a decis\u00e3o da justi\u00e7a local e afirmou que estava muito\u00a0preocupado<\/a>\u00a0com os pastores.<\/p>\n

\u201cInstamos as autoridades do Laos a protegerem o direito \u00e0 liberdade de pensamento, consci\u00eancia e religi\u00e3o, para garantir que os presos n\u00e3o sejam submetidos \u00e0 tortura ou a tratamentos cru\u00e9is, desumanos ou degradantes, de acordo com as obriga\u00e7\u00f5es do governo do Laos acertadas sob o Pacto Internacional sobre Direitos Civis e Pol\u00edticos\u201d, disse Johnston.<\/p>\n
