Convido o prezado leitor a meditar comigo em uma passagem do Evangelho de Mateus, cap\u00edtulo 7, vers\u00edculos 24 a 27. No referido texto, vemos o Senhor Jesus mencionar duas constru\u00e7\u00f5es: uma edificada sobre areia e a outra, sobre a rocha. Sobre ambas veio a tempestade, sopraram os ventos, correram os rios e foi grande a queda da casa edificada sobre a areia. O mesmo veio sobre a casa edificada sobre a rocha, que, devido ao seu s\u00f3lido fundamento, permaneceu de p\u00e9.<\/p>\n

Observei essa narrativa e pensei nas tempestades de nossa vida. Quantas vezes o Senhor permite que o vento forte venha de fora para dentro. Pode ser um ataque \u00e0 igreja ou ao minist\u00e9rio pastoral, e o l\u00edder precavido busca impedir que ele produza algum efeito negativo na igreja do Senhor. Outro fen\u00f4meno \u00e9 o correr dos rios: eles n\u00e3o correm por cima, mas por baixo dos nossos p\u00e9s, e essas tempestades s\u00e3o mais fortes.<\/p>\n

Louvo a Deus porque a nossa casa n\u00e3o foi edificada sobre a areia!<\/p>\n

Lembro-me de que certo fil\u00f3sofo j\u00e1 falecido teceu, certa vez, um infeliz coment\u00e1rio sobre a impossibilidade de um grupo social se manter em evid\u00eancia por mais de 50 anos. Se ele estivesse vivo, eu o desafiaria com o caso da Assembleia de Deus. A nossa denomina\u00e7\u00e3o n\u00e3o \u00e9 apenas um grupo social ou uma igreja, mas um movimento do Esp\u00edrito Santo. Enquanto tivermos como lema em nossas vidas sermos servos de Deus e nunca orgulhosos, enquanto continuarmos servos, o Senhor vai continuar a nos orientar e vamos produzir para a gl\u00f3ria do Alt\u00edssimo. As tempestades at\u00e9 aconteceram ao longo dos 100 anos da Assembleia de Deus no Brasil, e possivelmente outras ir\u00e3o acontecer, mas estamos firmados em Cristo. Rendo gra\u00e7as a Deus porque sirvo a Jesus durante algumas d\u00e9cadas.<\/p>\n

Eu recebi o Senhor como Salvador em 1942 e j\u00e1 vi muitas tempestades, j\u00e1 vi rios correrem por baixo dos p\u00e9s de muita gente boa e vi muitos naufragarem, mas eu louvo o Senhor porque a Igreja continua firme como uma \u00e1rvore plantada junto aos ribeiros e as ra\u00edzes em contato com a \u00e1gua.<\/p>\n

Talvez o prezado leitor esteja atravessando alguma tempestade e o cora\u00e7\u00e3o esteja sangrando, ou talvez seja algum obreiro em dificuldades. N\u00e3o se esque\u00e7a que os olhos do Senhor est\u00e3o voltados para a sua vida, e voc\u00ea n\u00e3o est\u00e1 sozinho nesta peleja!<\/p>\n
