Depois de passar uma d\u00e9cada como membro da equipe pastoral em duas igrejas e depois assumir como pastor principal, estava insatisfeito. \u201cEu n\u00e3o sabia o que fazer. Todos os meus problemas pareciam estar sendo causados pela necessidade de possuir um edif\u00edcio\u201d, desabafa.<\/p>\n<p>Depois de algum tempo, come\u00e7ou a perceber que \u201ctalvez eu poderia come\u00e7ar uma igreja sem um edif\u00edcio.\u201d Decidiu ent\u00e3o iniciar um trabalho totalmente diferente e chamou outro pastor. Surgia o minist\u00e9rio Under Over, voltado para cultos fora do templo onde pregava aos domingos.<\/p>\n<p>Eles faziam cultos em um lugar diferente a cada fim de semana. Isso inclui parques, centros sociais e lares de idosos. No entanto, logo percebeu que ele n\u00e3o poderia discipular pessoas que viviam em constante movimento.<\/p>\n<p>Os dias passaram e as coisas ficaram dif\u00edceis. Jerry perguntava a Deus o que ele devia fazer. Um dia, entrou no santu\u00e1rio de sua igreja e come\u00e7ou a orar e cantar. Foi interrompido por uma moradora de rua que entrou na igreja e pediu: \u201cVoc\u00ea pode me ajudar?\u201d. Foi ent\u00e3o que ele percebeu que precisava come\u00e7ar uma igreja \u201csem paredes\u201d, para qualquer pessoa que desejasse participar.<\/p>\n<p>Agora, cinco anos depois, essa igreja cresceu e continua se reunindo no Parque Heritage Place, na cidade de Conroe, no Texas. \u00a0Segundo o <a class=\"external\" href=\"http:\/\/www.underoverfellowship.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">site oficial<\/a>, o minist\u00e9rio tem como pilares a ora\u00e7\u00e3o, o evangelismo e o discipulado. Todos os domingos eles se re\u00fanem para um tempo de louvor, ora\u00e7\u00e3o e depois fazem refei\u00e7\u00f5es comunit\u00e1rias.<\/p>\n<p>Atualmente eles re\u00fanem cerca de 75 membros, metade s\u00e3o moradores de rua. Mant\u00e9m duas casas de passagem, como programas de \u201ctransi\u00e7\u00e3o e de reabilita\u00e7\u00e3o\u201d para homens e mulheres que desejam sair das ruas e voltarem a ter uma vida \u201cnormal\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>O pastor Vineyard lamenta que \u201cna maioria das igrejas, tanto dinheiro \u00e9 investido em um pr\u00e9dio que acaba sendo utilizado apenas tr\u00eas ou quatro horas por semana\u201d. E avisa: \u201cSe eu fosse comprar um pr\u00e9dio hoje seria para us\u00e1-lo 24 horas, sete dias por semana\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Parte do problema das igrejas, em sua opini\u00e3o, \u00e9 que elas \u201cterceirizaram seus minist\u00e9rios para outras organiza\u00e7\u00f5es crist\u00e3, mas Jesus nunca disse que o chamado para servir os necessitados deveria ser de organiza\u00e7\u00f5es eclesi\u00e1sticas, mas sim de todo o corpo de Cristo\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Enfatiza ainda que n\u00e3o \u00e9 f\u00e1cil. \u201cVoc\u00ea vai sujar as m\u00e3os e vai se envolver na vida de pessoas com
