O achado aumenta o sinal de alerta em torno da infec\u00e7\u00e3o pelo zika, principal suspeita da epidemia de microcefalia identificada no pa\u00eds. O v\u00edrus, que chegou no Brasil este ano, est\u00e1 presente em 18 estados.\u00a0&#8220;A liga\u00e7\u00e3o da s\u00edndrome com o v\u00edrus \u00e9 inequ\u00edvoca&#8221;, avaliou o pesquisador da Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Norte e respons\u00e1vel pela identifica\u00e7\u00e3o da chegada do zika v\u00edrus no Brasil, Kleber Luz. Questionado, o Minist\u00e9rio da Sa\u00fade disse que o assunto est\u00e1 sob investiga\u00e7\u00e3o.\u00a0Os resultados foram obtidos em trabalho feito pela pesquisadora L\u00facia Brito, chefe do servi\u00e7o de neurologia do Hospital da Restaura\u00e7\u00e3o, de Pernambuco. Foi identificada a presen\u00e7a do zika no l\u00edquido espinhal e no sangue de sete pacientes que apresentaram a SGB.\u00a0&#8220;A infec\u00e7\u00e3o pelo zika, por si s\u00f3, pode ser branda. Mas ela tem potencial de provocar s\u00e9rios problemas, tanto para fetos quanto para adultos&#8221;, avaliou o pesquisador da Fiocruz e coordenador da an\u00e1lise que comprovou a presen\u00e7a do zika nos pacientes com SGB de Pernambuco, Carlos Brito.\u00a0O n\u00famero de casos de SGB cresceu de forma expressiva no Nordeste do pa\u00eds entre abril e junho, pouco depois que os estados apresentaram a epidemia de zika. \u00a0Especialistas discutem agora com governo estrat\u00e9gias para tentar acompanhar o impacto da zika e as rela\u00e7\u00f5es com SGB. Entre as propostas est\u00e1 criar um grupo para identificar, o mais rapidamente poss\u00edvel, primeiros sinais da SGB e encaminhar pacientes para tratamento.
