\"zach-zehnder-300x200.jpg.pagespeed.ic.KiJIWk9_68\"<\/a>O pastor luterano Zach Zehnder, da igreja \u201cThe Cross\u201d, em Mount Dora, Fl\u00f3rida, se tornou not\u00edcia no in\u00edcio do ano quando fez uma proposta pol\u00eamica aos fi\u00e9is. Ele anunciou aos membros que pagaria se eles tatuassem o logotipo da igreja<\/a>. Ao custo de 60 d\u00f3lares cada, inicialmente 20 pessoas aceitaram o desafio e tatuaram o desenho de uma cruz envolta por um c\u00edrculo colorido. A conta foi paga pelo pastor.<\/p>\n

Esta semana, decidido a entrar para o livro Guinness dos recordes com o \u201cdiscurso mais longo\u201d, ele pregou durante 53 horas e 18 minutos do p\u00falpito de sua igreja. Seu alvo original eram 50 horas, mas ele decidiu ir o mais longe poss\u00edvel. Come\u00e7ou \u00e0s 7 da manh\u00e3 da sexta-feira, 7 de novembro, e terminou ao meio-dia de domingo (9). Mais de 400 pessoas estiveram presentes no local para ouvir o serm\u00e3o.<\/p>\n

Um grupo de enfermeiros de sua igreja fazia parte da equipe que o acompanhava e certificaram-se que ele recebeu a nutri\u00e7\u00e3o adequada durante todo o seu serm\u00e3o. Por vezes, precisou falar com a boca cheia, pois pelas regras do Guinness ele n\u00e3o poderia parar de falar por mais de 30 segundos.<\/p>\n

O evento foi transmitido pela internet no site www.longestspeechever.com<\/a>. As pessoas que visitavam o endere\u00e7o eram convidadas a fazer doa\u00e7\u00f5es em favor de programas de apoio a homens que lutam contra v\u00edcios (\u00e1lcool, tabaco, drogas etc\u2026). Durante a prega\u00e7\u00e3o, conseguiu coletar mais de 100 mil d\u00f3lares. O dinheiro foi doado para a ONG \u201cHand in Hand\u201d para ajudar na constru\u00e7\u00e3o de um centro de recupera\u00e7\u00e3o.<\/p>\n

Segundo as regras do Livro de recordes do Guinness, Zach pode fazer \u201cintervalos\u201d de 5 minutos a cada hora de sua prega\u00e7\u00e3o. O recorde anterior de discurso mais longo pertencia a Vickrant Mahajan, da \u00cdndia, que falou por 48 horas e 31 minutos em setembro deste ano.<\/p>\n

Aos 31 anos, Zach Zehnder \u00e9 a quarta gera\u00e7\u00e3o de pastores luteranos. Em 2011 ele plantou a igreja The Cross. A decis\u00e3o oficial do Guinness de homologar o recorde pode demorar at\u00e9 dois meses.<\/p>\n

Em entrevista \u00e0 m\u00eddia americana, Zehnder explicou que, como pastor, gosta de falar sobre Deus e sua Palavra, mas geralmente seus serm\u00f5es n\u00e3o duram muito mais que 30 minutos. Contou ainda que por ser bisneto, neto e filho de pastores, durante muito tempo lutou contra a ideia de \u201cprecisar\u201d seguir no minist\u00e9rio. Contudo, um acidente de carro antes de entrar na faculdade o fez pensar sobre o que Deus queria dele e assim, acabou optando pela teologia.<\/p>\n

Ao planejar como seria \u201co maior discurso da hist\u00f3ria\u201d, decidiu adaptar uma s\u00e9rie de serm\u00f5es, com 50 partes diferentes, cobrindo toda a B\u00edblia. Ele foi literalmente de G\u00eanesis a Apocalipse. \u201cEu cobri quase dois anos de serm\u00f5es com esse material. Foi uma prepara\u00e7\u00e3o dif\u00edcil\u201d.
